End-to-end talent buildout for LightSource AI, enterprise AI startup backed by $33M Series A

It's been a privilege to support the founders behind LightSource AI raised a $33M Series A to scale its AI-driven workflow automation platform for procurement and supply chain—but had no internal recruiting infrastructure.

Partnering directly with the founder, I built their recruiting function from the ground up: implemented an ATS, built structured interview processes, and created a scalable hiring playbook.

​

In six months, we doubled headcount with 15 key hires (and counting) across their team, including: product, engineering, design, and GTM—setting the company up for its next phase of growth.

Cross-functional hiring for Happy Head, a personalized telehealth hair growth platform

We partnered with Ben Katz, co-founder and CEO of Happy Head, a fast-growing telehealth company offering customized hair loss treatments powered by licensed dermatologists and compounded prescriptions.

As Happy Head scaled its operations and brand presence, Ben needed a recruiting partner who could deliver across multiple functions—spanning marketing, engineering, sales, and operations—while helping him define processes, improve hiring velocity, and maintain quality in a lean startup environment.

Over the course of the engagement, we placed key hires across the organization, including a Brand Marketing Manager to lead creative growth efforts, a QA Engineer to level up product testing infrastructure, a Founding Account Executive to support early GTM traction, and a Director of Program Management to drive cross-team execution and operational rigor.

With these foundational hires in place, Happy Head has strengthened its leadership bench, scaled its direct-to-consumer offering, and built a more resilient cross-functional team ready for the company’s next chapter of growth.

Talent buildout for BrightMeds, a fast-growing telehealth company for weight loss, hormone, and ED care

We partnered directly with Chris to build out BrightMeds’ leadership and commercial teams from the ground up. We placed the company’s founding sales leader and built out their initial sales team, while also hiring a Director of Customer Success to scale patient support. In parallel, we helped bring on a VP of Operations & Partnerships to streamline delivery and backend logistics, and a VP of Marketing to lead acquisition and brand strategy. We also filled several senior marketing roles spanning lifecycle, performance, and brand.

BrightMeds, a fast-growing GLP-1 telemedicine company founded by Chris Hickman, is redefining access to personalized weight loss and hormone therapy. As the business rapidly gained traction, it needed to scale its go-to-market and operational teams to keep pace with growth—without an internal recruiting function in place.
